Hannah came first to China in 2002 with her parents to adopt her sister, Elisabeth. She fell in love with the country and people then, but it wasn’t until 2004 when her other sister, Naomi, was adopted that she started dreaming of coming back. It took five years for that dream to come true, but that gave time for Hannah’s heart for serving orphans and her love of China to grow. In 2009 Hannah’s parents led her and her four younger siblings to New Day where they now live and work. Hannah’s father, Brian, is the intern coordinator and her mother, Wendy, is a special education teacher. Hannah is the foster home’s social networking coordinator. She does much of the writing for the website and blog.

Emerson joined our project November 3, 2014. We are enjoying tapping into his potential, and watching him learn new things! Emerson likes to play with trains, listen to music, and play with others. He’s learning how to crawl and sit on his own, and watching him grow and thrive is a joy to all of his caregivers. ... See MoreSee Less
